Side Effects of Xanax
Xanax is a popular name of the generic drug called Alprazolam. This is a very effective drug for anxiety but is known for some side effects. Common Side Effects
The common side effects tend to affect most of the people who take this medication and are generally minor in intensity. They are more to do with body adapting to drug. People have been known to suffer from seizures and hallucinations while administering this medication. Other problems include co-ordination between movements and body parts, loss of memory and skin problems like rashes. You could also experience aggressive behaviour, sleeplessness, chest pain, problems in urinating, decreased sex drive, etc.
Rare Side Effects
The not so usually side effects are not common in many patients, but are still observed. The rare side effects are the ones that have been observed very rarely. However, if you experience any of these symptoms, it is best to stop taking the Xanax treatment completely. People have in some cases have been known to show allergic reactions, double vision, slurred words, muscles spasms, stomach cramps, jaundice and yellowish skin and eyes and other serious problems.
These are very serious impacts and you must stop the medication and consult a professional immediately.
In conclusion, Xanax or Alprazolam is a very effective medicine in reducing anxiety attacks and panic attacks, but it also has a bunch of side effects. Depending how you react to the medication you need to take a call on whether you want to use it or not.
